The 60-second check
Where are you, really?
Eleven honest questions. In sixty seconds you'll know your stage, what's driving it, and which chapter to open tonight.
How old are you?
Roughly is fine. It only matters if your periods can't be used as a guide.
Your periods, right now.
This is the question that decides most. Answer for the last three months.
Do you wake at 2 or 3am and can't get back to sleep?
Not "trouble falling asleep". The middle-of-the-night waking, heart going.
Anxiety, rage or tears that don't match your life?
Anxiety from nowhere, often worse in the morning. Snapping at people you love. Crying in the car.
Do you lose words mid-sentence, or walk into a room and forget why?
Women call it brain fog. Some call it "brain block". A few have quietly googled dementia.
Heat from nowhere, or sheets soaked at night?
Face, chest, neck. If you've never had one, that's a normal answer, and it rules nothing out.
Joints that ache, stiff mornings, weight that moved when nothing else did?
Dryness, pain with sex, or a desire that went quiet?
Nobody sees this answer. It's the change women mention least and that changes most with the right conversation.
Prefer not to say? Skip with "Next".
What have you been told so far?
Tick everything that applies.
How much is all this getting in the way of your life?
Work, family, sleep, the person you used to be. Zero is "not at all". Ten is "I'm at half capacity".
If you could have one thing by next month?
Here's where you are.
Peri-Menopause
Your stage and your reading list, in your inbox. Nothing else, no newsletter you didn't ask for.
This check is educational, not a diagnosis. Wrong stage? We swap the guide free. If you experience heavy, prolonged or post-menopausal bleeding, see your GP.
